The Key Member role allows the Primary Member to give other members additional access to help manage a corporate membership. A corporate membership can have up to three Key Members.
Assign or revoke the Key Member role in My Glue
The Primary Member can assign or revoke the Key Member role in My Glue:
- Click the Memberships icon in the left-side panel.
- Find the relevant corporate membership and click View Membership Details.
- Find the member whose role needs to be changed.
- Click the three-dot icon next to the member.
- Select Assign Key Member Role or Revoke Key Member Role.
When the role is assigned, the Key Member receives an email explaining what they can and cannot do. The Key Member cannot decline the role.
Assign or revoke the Key Member role as an admin
Organization admins can assign or revoke the Key Member role from the Glue Up platform:
- Go to Memberships > Memberships.
- Find the relevant corporate membership.
- Click the three-dot icon next to the membership and select View Corporate Membership Details.
- Open the Members tab.
- Find the member whose role needs to be changed.
- Click the three-dot icon next to the member.
- Select Assign Key Member Role or Revoke Key Member Role.
What a Key Member can do
A Key Member can:
- Be selected by role as a target audience for campaigns and community access.
- Invite and remove other members from the membership.
- Edit company form details (except the company name) and the company's visibility in the Member Directory.
- View the full details of other members.
- Resend an invitation to a regular member who has not yet confirmed their membership details.
- Edit the Admin contact.
What remains limited to the Primary Member
Only the Primary Member can:
- Switch the Primary Member role to another person.
- Switch a Key Member role to another Key Member.
- Be targeted for accessing event tickets.
- Purchase an increase in members.
- Confirm a renewal.
- Download invoices and view transactions for the membership in My Glue.
The person who applies for the corporate membership is the Primary Member by default. The Primary Member is also the Admin contact by default, unless specified otherwise.
