Overview
The ticket cancellation feature allows registrants to cancel their own free or complimentary event registrations. This option is not available for paid tickets.
Admin Settings
To enable ticket cancellation:
Go to your event dashboard.
Navigate to 01. Setup > Registration Settings > Registration Options.
Check the box Allow Ticket Cancellation.
By default:
Each registrant can cancel up to 5 times.
After reaching the limit, they cannot register again for the same event until the restriction lifts.
The restriction automatically clears after 24 hours.
Cancellation Deadline
Admins can also set a cancellation deadline:
In the same settings, check Enable a cancellation deadline.
Choose one of the following options:
24 hours before start
48 hours before start
3 days before start
7 days before start
If no deadline is set, tickets can be cancelled anytime.
Registrant Experience
After receiving their registration confirmation email, registrants can:
Click Manage my registration.
Select the three-dots action button next to the ticket.
Click Cancel Ticket.
Confirm the cancellation.
Notes:
Each cancellation displays the counter (e.g., 3/5 cancellations used).
Once the limit is reached, the registrant is notified and blocked from cancelling or re-registering for 24 hours.
Admin View of Restricted Registrants
When a registrant reaches the 5-cancellation limit, they appear under:
Manage > Attendee List > Restricted Registrants.
This tab shows all registrants temporarily blocked from re-registering. After 24 hours, the system automatically removes them from the restricted list.
