What Is It?
The Passing Payment Processing Fees feature lets you pass payment gateway fees directly to your customers instead of absorbing the cost yourself.
Processing fees (also referred to as surcharges) are regulated in some jurisdictions. Rules may vary depending on your location and payment method.
Glue Up provides tools to configure processing fees but does not determine or enforce compliance with local regulations. You are responsible for ensuring your use of this feature complies with all applicable laws. We recommend that you: Review your local regulations before enabling processing fees.

Configuration Options
In the Processing Fee Options section, you can:
- Set the processing fee as a fixed amount or a percentage.
- Choose to make the fee optional (customer can opt in) or mandatory (automatically included in the total).
- Customer view: The processing fee is clearly displayed—customers always see the amount and whether it's optional or required.
- Apply taxes by selecting the relevant tax rules from those created in the Taxes settings.
Tracking Processing Fees
In the Finance > Payments section, filter transactions based on whether a processing fee was applied.
