The Cvent integration for Glue Up allows you to connect your Cvent account to streamline event and contact management processes. By synchronizing key information from Cvent, this integration helps reduce manual data entry and ensures your event and contact details are consistently up-to-date across both platforms.

Connect Cvent to Glue Up
Follow these steps to establish the connection between your Cvent account and Glue Up:
- Log in to your Glue Up admin account.
- Navigate to the Settings menu.
- Under the Other Settings section, click on Integrations.
- Locate the Cvent integration option and click the Connect Cvent button.
- In the dialog that appears, enter your Cvent account number (e.g. GLUUS00007).
- Click Continue. You will be redirected to the Cvent login page.
- Enter your Cvent username and password to authorize Glue Up to access your Cvent data.
Note: Ensure you have the necessary Cvent account permissions to authorize an external application.

Managing Synced Cvent Data in Glue Up
Understanding how to interact with Cvent-sourced data within Glue Up is key to leveraging the integration effectively.
Data Integrity and Updates
Important: You will not be able to modify Cvent-originated data directly within Glue Up. All updates to event details or contact information that was synced from Cvent must be made in Cvent itself. These changes will then reflect in Glue Up after the subsequent data synchronization cycle.
Utilizing Synced Data in Glue Up
While direct editing of Cvent data is restricted in Glue Up, you can fully utilize this information with Glue Up's native features:
- Surveys: Send targeted surveys using Glue Up to attendees whose details were synced from Cvent.
- Tasks: Create and assign tasks in Glue Up related to synced Cvent events or contacts to manage follow-ups and operational activities.
How Synced Cvent Data Appears in Glue Up
To easily distinguish Cvent-sourced information within Glue Up, specific visual cues and functionalities are available:
In the Events Module:
- Visual Identifier: All events synced from Cvent will be marked with a Cvent logo in event listings.
- Filtering Capabilities: You will find an option to filter your events list to specifically display or hide events originating from Cvent.
- Activity Tracking: Updates to synced event data (e.g., changes to dates, times, or titles made in Cvent) will be recorded in the event's timeline activity within Glue Up post-sync.
In the Contacts Module:
- Visual Identifier: Contacts created or updated through the Cvent sync will display a Cvent logo.
- Filtering Capabilities: You can filter your contact database to isolate contacts that were synced from Cvent.
- Update History: For synced contacts, any data modifications made in Cvent and subsequently synced will be reflected in the 'Data Update History' tab on the contact's profile in Glue Up.
