To provide a complimentary(free) membership to a specific member, please follow the process below.
Providing a complimentary membership application
- Go to the Workflow Manager in the Membership module, and enter the Applications.
- Select an existing application in the Awaiting Payment tab and click the three dots icon next to the member you wish to provide a complimentary membership. Click Comp Application.
- A pop-up window will appear with information about the membership. Click the Comp Application button. If you do not wish to send a system notification, please disable it.
- Important: Please note that the comp action cannot be undone.
After the application has been comped, the application’s payment status will be marked as ‘Comped’ and the price will be listed as ‘Free’ elsewhere in the Glue Up platform. The application invoice will list a 100% discount for the membership.
Comping a renewal
- Go to the Workflow Manager in the Membership module and enter the Renewals.
- Select an existing renewal in the Awaiting Payment tab and click the three dots icon next to the member you wish to provide a complimentary renewal. Click Comp Renewal.
- A pop-up window will appear with information about the membership. Click the Comp Renewal button.
- Important: Please note that the comp action cannot be undone.

- After the renewal has been comped and activated, the renewal’s payment status will be marked as ‘Comped’ and the price will be listed as ‘Free’ elsewhere in the Glue Up platform. The renewal invoice will list a 100% discount for the membership.
