Pre-printing Badges & Onsite Printer Setup
Choose whether to download a PDF and pre-print badges before your event or set up a printer at the event site.
Pre-printing Badges
This option is often best for events with an attendance of less than 150 people, and badges can be printed on adhesives or pocket inserts. All you have to do is print and bring your badges to the event.
Important: If you are not using an outside vendor to pre-print your badges, we recommend using Avery-brand templates when printing. Avery-brand templates can be purchased through any online retailer such as Amazon.
Generating a PDF
On the Onsite Toolkit page, click the Generate PDF button to generate a PDF of your event badges.
Step 1: Badge Design
Click an event badge to select a badge design, or click the link to create a new design. Make any edits and click the Next button to continue.
Step 2: Select Attendees
Choose which attendees you want to include in your PDF. You can reduce the number of badges by selecting an option according to ticket type or attendee payment status. Click the Next button to continue.
Step 3: Download PDF
Choose how you want to order your event badges in the PDF. Available options include: First Name, Last Name, Company Name, and Date Created.
Also, select a PDF layout. The option ‘One badge per page’ separates badges one by one, while the other formatting options sort badges according to various Avery-brand template sizes and layouts.
Click the Download PDF button to complete the process and download the selected badges.
Pre-printing with Avery-brand Paper*
We recommend using Avery-brand paper for pre-printing event badges. Available options include: (1) adhesive, (2) clip-style, (3) pin-style, and (4) hanging lanyard event badges.
